Independent interfaces
Expose stable service boundaries without forcing every participant to use the same protocol or interaction style.
The Avato Platform
Avato is a configuration-driven orchestration platform that helps independent systems, services and organizations work together without requiring them to share the same technology, data model, release cycle or owner.
It gives organizations a place to absorb change — adapting interfaces and information, coordinating processes, applying policy and making operational activity visible — while the systems around it evolve independently.
Why it exists
Systems become difficult to change when applications depend directly on one another’s protocols, data structures, release decisions and implementation details.
Expose stable service boundaries without forcing every participant to use the same protocol or interaction style.
Transform and normalize information where useful while allowing each system to retain the representation that fits it.
Change or replace systems behind stable boundaries without repeatedly redesigning every connected application.
What Avato does
Avato handles the work between participants so integration logic does not have to be scattered throughout the applications themselves.
Architectural principles
Express solution behaviour through reusable configuration.
Let information be exposed, transformed and consumed in the form best suited to each participant.
Keep business interactions from being unnecessarily bound to one communication mechanism.
Create durable boundaries so one system can change without forcing every consumer to change.
Build larger capabilities from smaller reusable components, patterns and configuration.
Keep integration assets consistent as infrastructure evolves across environments.
Configuration over custom code
Customer implementations to date have not required customers to write custom Java code. Where a genuinely new interface, protocol or low-level capability is required, Avato can extend the platform and expose that capability for reuse through configuration.
<Transformer name="xml-to-edi"

<Listening>
<Address>/edi/from-xml</Address>
</Listening>
<Forwarding>
<Address>/file/writer</Address>
</Forwarding>
</Transformer>Operational assurance
Avato combines orchestration with operational visibility so teams can follow activity across distributed interactions, diagnose failures and verify that critical paths continue to work.
Follow related activity across services.
Inspect messages, errors and integration behaviour.
Support controlled failure handling and replay where appropriate.
Use automated tests, synthetic transactions and scheduled verification.
Start where it makes sense
Avato does not require an enterprise-wide rollout. The same architectural approach can begin with a focused interaction and expand as reusable capability accumulates.
Introduce Avato for a specific integration or modernization requirement.
Create stable shared interfaces across a business domain.
Extend common patterns across business units or independent organizations.
Deployment & customer control
Avato is designed to operate within customer-controlled infrastructure and existing enterprise practices.
Reusable capability
The common technology foundation.
Reusable domain-specific configuration, packages, connectors, models, patterns and guidance.
Customer-facing offerings assembled from platform and profile capabilities.
Deployments adapted to an individual customer environment.
